Wilston Vet is a Brisbane based ASAVA Accredited Veterinary Hospital, who opened their doors in 2003. The client brief was to re-build and re-design the vet clinic to reflect their rapidly growing business while still maintaining their homely and humble trademark their client’s favour. The design also needed to focus and cater for staff, clients and animals with honesty, compassion and care.

 

The single storey building sits quietly on the corner of Newmarket Road and Swan Terrace, the exterior building employs a more unassuming palette, of grey concrete, black accents and reflective glazing. The design aims to ‘return to basics’ with an emphasis on durability, longevity and functionality.
